ETFuels – Energy Transition at Hyperscale
ETFuels’ vision is to enable Energy Transition at Hyperscale. Our mission is to enable decarbonisation of heavy industry by making commercially attractive green fuels available to customers, at scale, today.
We are pioneering an off-grid green fuel production model, disrupting current approaches to decarbonisation and unleashing the full potential of renewable energy at scale.
Our off-grid model will decarbonise entire economies and supply chains, transforming how energy is produced and distributed, and ultimately how green fuels are produced and consumed.
About the team
You will be part of the Technology and Engineering team where you will support delivery of
world-class green fuels projects through techno-economic analysis, engineering design
optimisation, and project execution. You will collaborate with colleagues and partners across
the world, embrace new technologies and opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to
successfully implement our pioneering projects.
How you will make an impact
Ensuring compliance with company values, Statutory Regulation, and operating within our Caring - Safety First ethos
Power Control Systems Design on innovative renewable power to process applications, including in grid connected and island mode systems
Developing single line diagrams of Power-to-X plants (converters, batteries, wind turbines, electrolysers, synchronous condensers, solar panels, MV lines, transformers, etc.) and conducting RMS (Root Mean Square) and EMT (Electromagnetic Transient) analysis using state-of-the-art simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, etc.)
Executing and project managing studies for analysis of grid-forming, grid stability, and technology readiness levels of electrical power systems
Integrating power electronic devices, renewable energy generation, storage devices, and industrial loads in micro-grids through conceptual studies, feasibility studies, engineering studies, and project execution
Designing and creating automation and software tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of conducting power system studies
Preparing, automating, executing, and post-processing simulation cases, and preparing study reports for internal and external stakeholders
Supporting and driving project activities related to techno commercial procurement of the equipment and services required to execute on process designs
Project Scheduling
During Design and Construction phases, development of operational processes to enable safe plant commissioning and operation
What you bring
Degree or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering
Experience in power system analysis in generation and / or transmission systems, steady state and dynamic network modelling, power system transients, high voltage applications, renewable energy generation, power electronics
Practical knowledge of typical power system simulation programmes ( e.g. PSS/E, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD/EMTDC) and programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python)
